Those who intend to participate in the business of pulling and tying and releasing of mooring lines to make fast or let go a vessel at any Port Facility within the declared ports will need to have the following below;
a) A Mooring and Lineboat with a bollard pull capacity of 1.8tonnes to 3 tonnes and a speed of 14knots.
b) Have a local participation of no less than 30% equity in the company of concern from the local land owners whose land on which the port facility is established or others from within the declared port.
c) Have appropriate safety equipment as required for the Mooring exercise.
Those who intend to provide wharf party services without a line boat will need to obtain a Mooring and Line boat license to offer mooring gang party services only to smaller vessels of a restricted LOA and GRT.
To obtain a license, please complete the application form and attach with the requirements specified in the form.
License is valid for a year and will be renewed upon its expiration. For fees, refer to Gazettal notice G695
